Young and old, recreational hiker or mountaineer, <strong>everyone gets their money&#8217;s worth.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A good pair of climbing boots, a backpack with a solid picnic, enough drinks and a detailed map. That\u2019s all you need to go out into nature and explore the plateau or the mountains.<\/p>\n<p>Our lodge is located in the middle of a network with <strong>hiking trails<\/strong>. Start right outside the lodge for a short evening walk or a real day trip. Easy hikes for the whole family or long, steep and intensive hikes for real mountain goats.<\/p>\n<p>Or combine hiking and cycling, angling, horse riding or canoeing. In that case the high mountains around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitnorway.nl\/listings-hallingdal\/bergsj%C3%B8-in-%C3%85l\/104670\/\">Bergsjo <\/a>are definitely a must. Many consider it one of the most beautiful environments in the mountains in Norway. But just a piece of advice: <strong>just stay in and around the lodge to unwind and enjoy. <\/strong>That\u2019s exactly what the Norwegians do!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">And the lodge offers all amenities to do so.<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Start the day with a large breakfast at the outdoor fireplace on the covered terrace. Then go inside or outside and enjoy some music while reading a book in the cosy seating area. Hallingdal has mile-long marked trails through the beautiful Norwegian nature.\u00a0<strong>There are routes for each level.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you want to ride one of Norway&#8217;s most popular cycling routes, make a trip to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitnorway.nl\/activiteiten-in-noorwegen\/in-de-natuur\/fietsen\/toerfietsen\/rallarvegen\/\">Rallarvegen<\/a>from Finse or Flam. Our children want to go back there every year. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitnorway.com\/places-to-go\/eastern-norway\/hallingdal\/things-to-do\/mountain-biking\/\">In the neighourhood<\/a>, the nearby village of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitnorway.com\/places-to-go\/eastern-norway\/hallingdal\/al\/activities\/cycling\/\">Al<\/a>or even immediately <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitnorway.com\/places-to-go\/eastern-norway\/hallingdal\/listings-hallingdal\/bike-trips-torpo-opheim-%C3%85l-in-hallingdal\/5597\/\">outside the lodge <\/a>there are plenty of possibilities. But of course you do have to catch it first J.<\/p>\n<p>There are plenty of possibilities. Why not go fly fishing for the first time in your life? In any case, it is a unique experience because you are always in the middle of nature: forest, plateau, mountains. If you want to go <strong>rafting <\/strong>in Norway you have to love action, speed and adventure. Trust the professional instructors with years of experience and have a <strong>unique experience. It\u2019s a real kick!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Float along the fast-flowing and swirling water that splashes over the rocks and runs through cracks. The Norwegian rivers are on their bucket list of many rafters.<\/p>\n<p>In the region you can go rafting on the Numedalsl\u00e5gen \u2013 the second longest river in Norway. A trail with alternately challenging and quiet pieces. Take the train to <a href=\"https:\/\/finse1222.no\/en\/\">Finse 1222<\/a>high up in the mountains. Get on your bike and ride the breathtaking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.haugastol.no\/en\/rallarvegen\">Rallarvegen descent<\/a>.Go see the Fjords \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitnorway.nl\/bestemmingen-in-noorwegen\/regio-west\/sognefjord-regio\/flam\/eropuit-in-flam\/\">Aurlandsfjord<\/a>. Make a boot trip on the fjord. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitflam.com\/en\/flamsbana\/\">Fl\u00e4msbana<\/a>\u00a0is also unique \u2013 1 of the 20 most beautiful train trips in the world. Along the way you pass by magnificent views, dizzying mountainsides, deep waterfalls&#8230;. and more than 20 tunnels.
